Terms of Reference

1. To provide advice on the promotion of equal opportunity and diversity in employment and education with the University.
2. To monitor the practice of equal opportunity in the University and to report to Senate through the Vice-Chancellor on the development of appropriate policies in response to legislation and in the best  interests of the principles of equity.
3. To consider and recommend on ways in which any present impediments to equality of opportunity might be removed.
4. To provide advice and support to the Equity & Diversity office.
5. To report to Senate annually on the effectiveness of policies and programmes introduced to promote equity and diversity.
