Equity and Diversity annually offer grants to recognise and acknowledge UWA schools and staff who have made significant contributions  to students and staff in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusivity. 

UWA's Diversity Initiatives Fund has been established to encourage Faculties/Schools/Units to develop targeted diversity initiatives that enhance equity for students and staff. 

Criteria for Funding

To support UWA's widening participation agenda regarding students from low socio-economic backgrounds, the Diversity Initiatives Fund looks for initiatives which:

• are creative, local area programs
• aim to increase the participation, retention and/or success of students from low socio-economic backgrounds
• demonstrate clear and achievable outcomes and assurance of quality will be given a high priority. 
• are innovative and break new ground at this University.

The University of WA anticipates funding 5-6 initiatives annually. Grants will be provided for one year only. Applicants are encouraged to seek co-funding from school or other sources.
