Equity and Diversity actively contributes to the Medicine and Dentistry Interview Committee.
The MDIC has been set up to oversee the conduct of the selection process for potential students
entering Medicine and Dentistry at UWA. The Committee has been tasked with developing the criteria
 to be assessed together with the process of conducting the interviews. Equity and Diversity provides
diversity and cross-cultural consultancy support with a view to ensuring the process is an inclusive one
that responds equitably to the diversity in the WA community and has made a specific contribution in
two main areas:

• provision of advice to ensure questions are culture-free and culture-fair
    
• promoting the initiative among WA’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities with a view to increasing the diversity of the profile of interviewers.
