2011

Leading CEO for the Advancement of Women awarded to Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Robson by the Australian Government’s Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency.

National Employer of Choice for Women awarded to UWA for the ninth consecutive year. 

Top Ten Employer for LGBT Employees: Australian Workplace Equality Index 2011,'Pride in Diversity':  UWA was listed as one of the top 10 employers in receipt of the inaugural Pride in Diversity (PID) awards. The PID initiative, based on the successful UK Stonewall model, aims to recognise employers that respond proactively to the needs of Gender and Sexually Diverse staff.

2009

National Diversity and Inclusion Champion awarded to UWA’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alan Robson, Employment and Inclusion Awards: Diversity @ Work, from a large group of finalists representing both the public and private sectors nationally.

Employment and Inclusion of Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual, Transgender and Intersex people awarded to the Ally program at UWA at the Employment and Inclusion Awards: Diversity @ Work. It was a first within the Australian higher education sector and has been emulated in 16 other Australian universities as well as attracting interest from the trade union sector and organisations committed to advancing their workplace diversity.
